Autism – These are some of the characteristics of ASD:

  • problems with social interaction with others. …
  • unusual interest in objects.

  • great variation in abilities.
  • under or over reaction to one or more of the five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, or hearing.
  • repeated actions or body movements.

Q-tips say: We did enjoy the 5 episodes. It becomes clear that people on the autism spectrum deal with many of the same problems that people without autism deal with everyday, especially when it comes to dating. Though autism can make dating a little more difficult, the series shows that autism doesn’t automatically mean people on the spectrum are incapable of expressing emotions or feeling love. Reality dating shows are a dime a dozen, but few of them feel as genuine and eye-opening as Love on the Spectrum. By following a group of Australian singles on the autism spectrum as they try to find love, we get a glimpse into the lives of those who have constantly been portrayed as a challenge to overcome or a disability that only comes with woes.
