Everyone tells you that you need an elevator pitch.
I disagree, a first conversation it is not about selling, it is about getting a second conversation.
This is why I believe everyone needs a Personal brand Conversation. When you can quickly tell someone where you are going – Vision, what you stand for – Values, and how you show up – Vows, you get the only thing that should be the outcome of an elevator conversation – the next conversation!
You need a Personal Brand:
WHY – Communicate trust with your personal brand Use your personal introduction in all of your high-stakes presentations and conversations.
WHAT – Leaders must communicate with excellence in all of their high stakes speaking opportunities with clients, investors, partners, sponsors, analysts, journalists, current and future team members.
HOW – Communicate trust by answer the 3 most important questions from your audience:
Where are you going? This is your VISION of the world you are creating
What is important to you? These are the VALUES that you stand for
How can I count on you? These VOWS are your personal commitments
IF – Be successful at communicating trust with prospective stakeholders to build a foundation for long term relationships.
