MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY – 5700 S Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, IL 60637, (773) 684-1414, msichicago.org
Q-TIPS SAY: LOVED IT AS A KID, NOW AS AN ADULT & so does our grown daughter, grandson & son in law. So much to see, so little time. The holiday decorations were out and trees decorated each with ornaments from their own countries – Poland, Tialand, Germany, Australia, etc. Also, it snows inside on the half hour & hour in a designated area. To save some money they offer Chicago residents free days – need to show an ID. No Free Days in summer, that I know of, and take public transportation to save some $$. There is free parking on some of the side streets – could be hard to find but we found one, had to walk 2 blocks to the Museum. This Museum is very good for kids, and adults. Planes, Trains, Submarine, Coal Mine, Body Parts section, Science Storms exhibit, Baby Chicks, Space Exhibit, & Special Exhibits – the tickets sell out fast for the Special Exhibits, which cost extra, so get your tickets early. Mrs. Q suggests: Go on the internet and see the map of the Museum before you go and decide what you really want to see before you go.
