GHOSTS 12/2018

GHOSTS – Redtwist Theater –  1044 W Bryn Mawr Ave., Chicago, IL 60660

Redtwist Theatre Ghosts
On the eve of affirming her late husband’s prestigious legacy, Helen Alving strives to finally bury his long-festering secrets. The fiery desires of her estranged son, Oswald, drive all misdeeds into the light. Relentless in its examination of the white feminist, Erin Murray’s world premiere adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s masterpiece promises audiences the most incendiary Ghosts since 1882. It asks: are you devoted to a greater good…or just your own demise?

Q-tips say:  Great acting. and placing a women in the main role was refreshing. Word of caution: the theater was a tad chilly, so dress warm. Many of the actors were in several other plays at the Redtwist Theater and again they did a wonderful  job of acting.

Afterward, we enjoyed a meal at Francesca’s  Rest. across the street. Then the bus #147 for a ride home. No driving, & parking worries!
