Camera

A boy who cannot speak moves to a struggling fishing town with his widowed mother. Bullied by his peers, he soon finds his artistic voice with help from a film camera and an eccentric repairman.

Q-tips say: Yes, watch CAMERA.

This great film explores the complex friendship which develops between a boy and older neighbor.  This movie does an excellent job showing how a child that couldn’t talk could bring the town together in the end. Beau Bridges played an excellent mentor guiding and supporting young “Oscar” in the film.

Mrs. Q says: Enjoy the beautiful scenes that the young boy captures while taking pictures. I wonder why the hard working, loving mother did not teach the boy sign language, not just writing notes on a pad & learn sign language herself. Very heartwarming and moving film that almost left me crying in the end.

Happy’s Place

When she inherits her late father’s tavern Happy’s Place, Bobbie is shocked to learn that she has a new co-owner — Isabella, the half-sister she never knew existed. Isabella is young, inexperienced and has some unusual new ideas about how to run the family business. But they’re not alone — there’s also Gabby, the bartender with a love of drama; Emmett, the cook and man of few words; Takoda, the nicest waiter in Tennessee; and Steve, their brilliant yet eccentric accountant. Alongside their close-knit staff, Bobbie and Isabella will definitely figure out this new chapter together. After all, whether they’re friends, co-workers or unexpected siblings… at Happy’s Place, everyone is family. A series.

Q-tips say: Yes, watch it. Mrs. Q says: So far to a great start loved the first episode and can’t wait to see more!!! Love Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman they make an awesome team!!! The cast is great & the show is funny.

The Fabulous Four

If three’s a crowd, four’s a party! THE FABULOUS FOUR is an uproarious comedy about a group of life-long friends (Susan Sarandon, Megan Mullally, and Sheryl Lee Ralph) who travel to Key West, Florida, to be bridesmaids in the surprise wedding of their best college girlfriend Marilyn (Bette Midler). Over the course of one outrageous trip, sisterhoods are rekindled, the past resurfaces, and there are enough sparks, raunch, and romance to change all their lives in unexpected ways. Prime video.

Q-tips say: Yes, we did enjoy & had some laughs.

If you enjoy seeing divas do their thing on the big screen, it’s definitely worth watching. Also, enjoy the scenes in Key West. Fl.

Mrs. Q says: This was definitely “chick flick” but fun! How can you go wrong with this cast?
Anyone who has had friends who drifted away during the “busy” years will understand 2 things:
1) Young adult friends know you almost better than anyone else and you never forget them, and
2) Those very friends can pick up where you left off, even after time and distance.
So this movie was fun, funny, and a chance to remember those people.
Don’t expect a deep dive into anything- just sit back and be entertained
.

The Accident

When a birthday party takes a tragic turn, its ripples shatter a close-knit community, tearing families, friendships and hearts apart. Series on Netflix

Q-tips say: Yes, we are watching it & gets more interesting as it goes on.

The Accident did succeed in being both emotionally affecting and psychologically intense.  It just may surprise you. And, there were a few episodes that felt soap opera-ish, due to the many layers of drama, but that is what kept us coming back for more. Wanted to see how they handled each emotionally charged situations. Was curious to see how the characters would process the tragedy.
