Glinda’s unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power, while Elphaba’s determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences on her future. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfill their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Q-tips say: YES, watch this.  If you are at all a fan of Wicked on stage, you might absolutely going to be a fan of this cinematic adaptation. Wickedly entertaining and thought-provoking.

Mrs. Q says: While green could symbolize envy, jealousy, and the unknown, Elphaba is unapologetically who she is.

A family’s world turns upside down when 13-year-old Jamie Miller is arrested for murdering a schoolmate: the charges against their son force them to confront every parent’s worst nightmare.

Q-tips say: Mr. Q liked this more than Mrs. Q did.

The Mr. liked the way the series showed how the family reacted to the final end of the story. They were sad, disappointed that they did not do things correctly because their son was arrested for murdering a schoolmate.

Mrs. Q says: The actor playing the central character Jamie is remarkable. But, what was the point of having someone telling us that “now he is walking down the hall, now she/he is touching their face”, etc. We can see what they are doing so what is the point of having someone telling us?

What was the point of highlighting the police officers socially Awkward son and their frail relationship? Why did the police just disappear half way through the series never to return? What happened to the kid who provided the knife & what happened to the knife.

I think this should have been a movie instead of series.

Q-tips say: We are enjoying Dexter for now. Perhaps Original Sin does a much better job at capturing the feel and style of the original series, with a younger, more inexperienced Dexter Morgan trying to find a little meaning in life. Or, well, in death anyways.

Original Sin is giving a lot of the backstory, more than we saw in Dexter. The cast is pretty darn good so far.

Mrs. Q says: There are some segments that might want you to NOT keep watching Dexter, but the ending is worth keep watching.

From renegade auteur Jacques Audiard comes Emilia Pérez, an audacious fever dream that defies genres and expectations. Through liberating song and dance and bold visuals, this odyssey follows the journey of four remarkable women in Mexico, each pursuing their own happiness. The fearsome cartel leader Emilia (Karla Sofía Gascón) enlists Rita (Zoe Saldaña), an unappreciated lawyer stuck in a dead-end job, to help fake her death so that Emilia can finally live authentically as her true self.

Q-tips say: Not the most exciting movie in the world. Not sure I’ve ever seen a movie get so many award nominations while being so thoroughly disliked by the public.

ANORA is an audacious, and comedic variation on a modern day Cinderella story. It captivates as Ani, a young sex worker from Brooklyn whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets and impulsively marries Vanya, the impetuous son of a Russian billionaire. However, when Vanya’s parents catch wind of the union, they send their henchmen to annul the marriage, setting off a wild chase through the streets of New York.

Q-tips say: Don’t waste your time watching this piece of crap.

The captions say this movie is:  Comedy/Drama/Romance – but it is none of these. Ani, a young sex worker, should be the warning that his movie is more of a porn movie than a comedy/drama/romance movie.

Mrs. Q says: Can’t find a single part I liked about it. I don’t think the script or the acting were that great. Most of the acting was obnoxious and unbelievable. The comedic aspect to it also wasn’t funny. I kept waiting for the movie to turn into something brilliant and have a brilliant moment. It just never got there.

I did not and still do not get the amount of praise it is getting, and the awards it is receiving.

During the 1972 Munich Olympics, an American sports broadcasting crew finds itself thrust into covering the hostage crisis involving Israeli athletes.

Q-tips say: Yes, watch it. “September 5” takes viewers inside a TV control room in 1972, where ABC Sports  broadcasters face an unprecedented crisis: gunmen from the Palestinian militant group Black September have infiltrated the Olympic village, killed two members of the Israeli athletic team, and taken nine others hostage. 

Mrs. Q says: September 5 depicts the terrorist attack on the Israeli Olympic team in Munich from the standpoint of the news team. This movie is very powerful as it describes an important event in history, which is still relevant today.
