Parenting and marriage is becoming tougher and tougher for Toula (Nia Vardalos) and her husband Ian. Not only has their relationship lost some of its spark, but they’re also dealing with a rebellious teenage daughter who clashes with Greek traditions. On top of that, Toula must contend with aging parents and the endless needs of cousins and friends. When a shocking family secret comes to light, the entire Portokalos clan makes plans to come together for an even bigger wedding than before.

Q-tips say: YES, watch this movie. We really enjoyed it, laughed & were happy we saw Greece that we traveled to-which brought back happy memories.
It is full of so much joy, and so much heart, celebrating family, culture, and love, while also emphasizing that even the most ancient of civilizations aren’t completely trapped in the past, especially if the new generation has anything to say about it. This latest “Big Fat Greek 3” movie is colorful and celebratory, eager to entertain and wears its heart on its sleeve. There’s something to be said for that.
Mrs. Q says: Watch it & enjoy. One of my favorite scenes was the limousine service to the wedding service. Get your Libations & Munchies and get ready for a relaxing, fun evening. The ratings were high from the audience and not so much for the critics.

Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Academy Award®-winner Russell Crowe). The Pope’s Exorcist follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden. Rated R for violent content, language, sexual references and some nudity.
Q-tips say: Was a bit slow at the beginning but picks up to an ending you might be glad you watched the entire movie. It is a powerful historical drama and Crowe is outstanding as a real life Vatican exorcist-in-chief.
A tremendously fun exercise in demonic horror that manages to stand out among its peers by using its huge wit, its charming campy spirit, and a Russell Crowe in his element having a great time among crucifixes, holy water sprinklers, and bibles.
Mrs. Q says: Just a thought – The punchline is so convoluted and ridiculous that it seems to let the Church off the hook for the Inquisition and the pedophilia cover-up by saying, in essence, “The devil made them do it.”

Q-tips say: Yes, watch it. We did enjoy.
Mrs. Q says: I’m not always a fan of watching series but I will say that The Lincoln Lawyer is worth watching because its twists and turns never seem entirely implausible or wholly based on coincidence. “The law was not always about truth. It’s about negotiation, making something better, manipulation.” A cunning strategist, he knows how to work all the angles, and our guilty pleasure is watching him go to it.

9/9/23 – Q-tips say: Had a wonderful time visiting with our long time Chicago friends.Glad they are doing ok.
Mrs. Q says: I don’t mind paying a higher price for dinner (like at Shaw’s Crab house downtown, etc.) but not for mediocre food. Over all: Was over priced & over-rated. A tad dark inside – we ate outside – was nice till the airplanes from the airport flew over.
It was a long drive for the Q’s to get here – if my meal was more enjoyable, would not mind the drive.
One friends had: He had:Spaghetti & Meatballs – Marinara, handmade meatball & the She had:Rigatoni alla Vodka – Vodka sauce, fresh basil & they shared a Salad. They seemed to enjoy the meal.
The other half had: Lamb Chop Lollipop. A Perfect Manhattan. He said the Lamb Chops were ok & ate some of my fries.
Mrs. Q had: I am not a big Pasta fan so I had Baby Back BBQ Ribs – Served with fries and coleslaw. Did not enjoy a bit of my dinner – the ribs were not baby – they were Gigantic & nothing special about the Cole slaw or fries. My drink was good: OLD FASHIONED – Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Simple Syrup, Orange, Angostura Bitters, Luxardo Cherry. Probably should have had: A Burger.
The Q’s began with sharing: Caesar Salad.
We shared the dessert & all enjoyed the dessert: NUTELLA BEIGNETS.
Q-tips say: Orion is a new Polish Rest. for the Q’s – we have not been here before.
Everyone enjoyed the food/environment & each other company before dropping off the Kids at the airport. The food tastes like all is homemade. Servings a plentiful to share. We will go back again & enjoy!

The Son & Mrs. Q had: Mushroom Soup.
The Daughter in Law & Mr. Q had:Beet soup mini pierogis filled with meat.
The Q’s shared: Pierogi –Meat/Sauerkraut topped with bacon bits. And shared Golabki – Stuffed cabbage rolls with meat & rice. A side dish of cucumber salad.
The Son had:Golabki – Stuffed cabbage rolls with meat & rice. A side dish of cucumber salad.

When our favorite Daughter in Law & Son visit us in Chicago – Wolfy’s is the first & last stop when arriving & leaving Chicago. We did take out & enjoyed Happy Hour & Wolfy’s hot dogs on Mrs. Q’s “She Shed” balcony.
