Ladies First

Damien Sachs (Sacha Baron Cohen) seemingly has it all: money, power, and a never ending stream of casual flings. As he prepares to ascend to the role of CEO at a leading advertising agency, his life is turned upside down when he wakes up in his worst nightmare: a parallel world dominated by women. Where he once ruled the boardroom, he now finds himself humbled and going head-to-head with the newly fierce and fearless Alex Fox (Rosamund Pike). With the rules of engagement changed and Alex at the top of her game, the two boldly battle it out in a playful and satirical comedy about what happens when the script is flipped.

Q-tips say: YES, we did enjoy “Ladies First.”

For some men, this might feel uncomfortable or hard to relate to, but it brutally portrays the reality of women’s lives. It gives you a great laugh, yet still feels profound.

Such a different pace where women rule the world quite a delight things like Victor’s secret, Burger Queen, new Year new butt, is it that time of the again, couldn’t stop laughing, I’d like to see more things like this.

The AMERICA’S

The Americas will be on weekly at 7:00 PM on NBC, and is available to stream the next day on Peacock.

The last episode shows how they were able to get those awesome photos & breathtaking habitats.

Tom Hanks narrates a 10-episode television event from the executive producers of Planet Earth, exploring the extraordinary worlds and wildlife of North and South America. The breathtaking journey follows amazing creatures living in their natural habitats across the supercontinent, including diverse terrains like the Atlantic Coast, Mexico, Wild West, Amazon, Frozen North, Gulf Coast, Andes, Caribbean, West Coast and Patagonia. Each location comes alive in never-before-seen footage showing the unique connectedness of the land that millions of people call home.

Q-tips say: YES, watch this. We enjoyed The Americas before & now again.

Some of the best parts of The Americas is that it acknowledges the impact of humans on the natural world, to a certain extent. Woodpeckers find new uses for barns, and raccoons run rampant in New York City, demonstrating that we’re not evolving alone and that there are living beings affected by our actions.

Mrs. Q says: The cinematography is beautiful. They also got plenty of intimate shots, whether they’re of insects or snakes or raccoons holing up in a stone wall.

Ordinary Angels

Based on a remarkable true story, ORDINARY ANGELS centers on Sharon Steves (Hilary Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed Schmitt (Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels.

Q tips say: WOW! Yes we enjoyed Ordinary Angels. A heartbreaking story everyone else thinks is hopeless, and Sharon (Hillary Swank) somehow manages to triumph over the most daunting of obstacles. Hilary Swank brings incredible energy and humanity to her role, while Alan Ritchson delivers a surprisingly restrained and vulnerable performance as a struggling father.

Mrs. Q says:  This movie reminds me that ordinary people can sometimes make an extraordinary and positive difference in our lives. We need more of this in our present society.

Send Help

Two colleagues become stranded on a deserted island, the only survivors of a plane crash. On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it’s an unsettling, darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.

Q-tips say: Thought we would like “Send Help” but the ending is a bit awkward & disappointing. This was humorous and intense. Quickly paced and the 2 characters were great. Got a little dumb at the end.

Mrs. Q-SAYS: YES, GO AND ENJOY! IT IS FREE! – FREE IS GOOD.

Decided to thru the zoo instead of around the hood.  Had a great walk & beautiful weather.

LINCOLN PARK ZOO is a wonderful place to visit – old and young alike enjoy the wonderful zoo & lakefront.  Found free parking on the street but there is a parking lot & pay the fee just in case you can’t find free street parking. Many animals to see and they were active due to the sunny beautiful weather.  The Zoo offers little people train & all restaurants were open.  Restaurants and sidewalk vendors are available as well as areas to picnic either under shelter or on the grassy areas. The small working farm was not open along with a few other venues but most are open. The day we went the animals were very active, which adds to your enjoyment.

Mrs. Q says:  The Zoo was busy with School children & families enjoying the Zoo. The four legged animals were out  playing & enjoying the day also. Go and enjoy, it may not be the largest Zoo due to lack of some animals but a great way to spend the day.  I miss the Elephants.
PS Lincoln Park Zoo has a great Ape House. So go and enjoysay HI your distant relatives!
