12/2021- Yes, see it again! Based on the humorous writings of author Jean Shepherd, this beloved holiday movie follows the wintry exploits of youngster Ralphie Parker (Peter Billingsley), who spends most of his time dodging a bully and dreaming of his ideal Christmas gift, a “Red Ryder air rifle.” Frequently at odds with his cranky dad but comforted by his doting mother, Ralphie struggles to make it to Christmas Day with his glasses and his hopes intact.

Q-tips say: YES, see it again. Mrs. Q says: Nothing says Christmas like going out to a Chinese Restaurant for Christmas Dinner. The movie is sweet, sappy & entertaining.

A young scout elf who helps Santa determine who’s naughty or nice takes on an assignment to help restore a 9-year-old boy’s belief in Christmas.

Q-tips say: YES, see it! A entertaining cute movie about “Chippey,” the Elf.

Mrs. Q says: Yes, an enjoyable movie for the Youngsters (little ones & teens) & Old Codgers alike. Great movie for the entire family to watch. Not out yet at theaters, but download/streaming – Netflix, etc.

An aspiring singer-songwriter dreams of making it big, but she is stalled by her stepmother and two stepsisters. As she works a demoralizing job, she starts to fall for the handsome new Santa.

Q-Tips say: Yes, see it. Enjoyable modern-day-fairy tale has music, romance, humor. This movie has the right amount of musical numbers, romance and fun. 

Q-tips say:

This movie is nothing like the other Home Alone movies. It is stupid in a lot of ways. So, skip it!

Four sisters reunite for Christmas in a Yorkshire Mansion. Misunderstandings lead to the unearthing of the long-buried secret that tore their family apart many years ago.

Q-tips say: Was ok – not for little ones -(Sexually Suggestive Material – Some Language) .

Mrs. Q says:  Kind of enjoyed it, it’s not totally funny but parts are funny, very Christmassy, set in England. Should you stream it or skip it? Depends on what kind of mood you are in & what other movies you have on your list. If you stream it, keep in mind that if you really are not enjoying this movie, you can always turn it off.

If you enjoyed the original DEXTER – you might enjoy this series.

Set 10 years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the series finds him living under an assumed name in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger beckons.

Q-tips say: We did enjoy the original Dexter – so we decided to watch the new DEXTER (Michael C Hall) – new blood. So far, interesting.

Mrs. Q says: Yes, it is that time of the year to start enjoying Holiday Movies.

After discovering his grandfather is Santa Claus, Jules has to help him deliver his presents all around the world. But Jules’ hatred for Christmas might make that more difficult than Santa thought.

Q-tips say: Yes, see it. We enjoyed it.

Mrs. Q says:  The Claus Family is a feel-good film where there’s no villain or bad spirit overpowering the hero, but it’s all about family and the spirit of Christmas. The film is the perfect watch for lazy winter days when one gets bored with the suspense and thriller genres. It’s the type of film one would watch with a hot cup of cocoa as its very comforting due to its Christmas storyline.
