Four sisters reunite for Christmas in a Yorkshire Mansion. Misunderstandings lead to the unearthing of the long-buried secret that tore their family apart many years ago.
Q-tips say: Was ok – not for little ones -(Sexually Suggestive Material – Some Language) .
Mrs. Q says: Kind of enjoyed it, it’s not totally funny but parts are funny, very Christmassy, set in England. Should you stream it or skip it? Depends on what kind of mood you are in & what other movies you have on your list. If you stream it, keep in mind that if you really are not enjoying this movie, you can always turn it off.
If you enjoyed the original DEXTER – you might enjoy this series.
Set 10 years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the series finds him living under an assumed name in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger beckons.
Q-tips say: We did enjoy the original Dexter – so we decided to watch the new DEXTER (Michael C Hall) – new blood. So far, interesting.
Mrs. Q says: Yes, it is that time of the year to start enjoying Holiday Movies.
After discovering his grandfather is Santa Claus, Jules has to help him deliver his presents all around the world. But Jules’ hatred for Christmas might make that more difficult than Santa thought.
Q-tips say: Yes, see it. We enjoyed it.
Mrs. Q says: The Claus Family is a feel-good film where there’s no villain or bad spirit overpowering the hero, but it’s all about family and the spirit of Christmas. The film is the perfect watch for lazy winter days when one gets bored with the suspense and thriller genres. It’s the type of film one would watch with a hot cup of cocoa as its very comforting due to its Christmas storyline.
Q-tips say: Go & Enjoy! We enjoy walking around the Fest. Then driving through Venice & visiting & seeing where we used to live.
Many shops & vendors to enjoy on this beautiful weather day.
After the Fest, we drove to Rosebud for dinner.
Looking forward to going to the next Fest.
10/21 – Lifelong buddies Willie (Morgan Freeman), Joe (Michael Caine) and Albert (Alan Arkin) decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow when their pension funds become a corporate casualty. Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the three men risk it all by embarking on a daring adventure to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money.
Q-tips say: Even tho it was not realistic in some parts, we did enjoy it. If you are on the older spectrum of life – codgers- you might enjoy, Going in Style.
Mrs. Q says: the movie is made to get a few good chuckles out of the audience who are probably all around the same age as these characters. There is a sweetness and a sadness to this film, but it is essentially a light-hearted piece with plenty of laughs.

10/2/21 – Lucy Standbridge (Aubrey Plaza) has inherited her father’s publishing house, and the ambitious would-be editor has nearly sunk it with failing titles. She discovers she is owed a book by Harris Shaw (Michael Caine), a reclusive, cantankerous, booze-addled author who originally put the company on the map decades earlier. In a last-ditch effort to save the company, Lucy and Harris release his new book and embark on a book tour from hell that changes them both in ways they didn’t expect.
Q-tips say: We enjoyed it. Many funny/laughable moments. You can easily see why Michael Caine wanted to play alcoholic, cantankerous novelist Harris Shaw in Lina Roessler’s comedy. Constantly exclaiming “Bullshite!”
Mrs. Q says: See it. I didn’t feel this was time lost watching this movie and enjoyed Michael Caine’s latest performance. So see it, or perhaps after seeing “Best Sellers” you might just say: “Bullshite!”
