While on a forgettable first date together in Ohio, a black man (Get Out’s Daniel Kaluuya) and a black woman (Jodie Turner-Smith), are pulled over for a minor traffic infraction. The situation escalates, with sudden and tragic results, when the man kills the police officer in self-defense. Terrified and in fear for their lives, the man, a retail employee, and the woman, a criminal defense lawyer, are forced to go on the run. But the incident is captured on video and goes viral, and the couple unwittingly become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief and pain for people across the country.
Q-tips say: If you like what is going on now in our world. killing, brutality, protesting, etc. & want to see more of it, see this.
With all the protests we have seen and movements resulting from police brutality, the timing of this movie was not accidental. Created a largely fabricated picture of American life as dominated by a virtual race war.
Mrs. Q says: A White cop pulls over two black people & evidently this cop is an angry murdering maniac. The woman, who is supposed to be a criminal lawyer, triggers a murder, which is the part they got right. After the guy kills the cop they go on the run & run & run. That was enough for me to say no, don’t see it. Not sure who was Queen or who was slim.
