With the help of a washed-up LA musician (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Flora and Max discover the transformative power of music. “Flora and Son” explores the bond between a mother and son on a journey toward a new harmony.
Q-tips say: Yes, watch it! She is really amazing as a frustrated young mother who sparks interest in music. The songs and music were pretty good and it’s a pretty feel-good film. It has some minor flaws, but this film still is a nice little film which one might enjoy. What starts as a rocky, failed flirtation between Flora and her music teacher becomes a lovely sequence of a growing long-distance relationship.
