Q-tips say: Loved it. Baking up a storm of humor and heart, is the perfect treat this holiday season. The cast works well together, the ensemble is great, and the band is great. If you’re looking for a fun, adult themed musical that keeps your toes tapping, your fingers snapping, and your mouth laughing, Q-tips, say watch this – it’s SO worth it! 

Mrs. Q says: An absolute dream. This story is just life in all its beautiful messiness. We’ve all felt stuck, unworthy, or looking for something more but don’t know how to get there.  Every character is brought to life with such vibrancy. It’s a story sweet as pie. We’re all searching for something more and may we find it as these characters did.

Q-tips say: Mrs. Q liked it more than Mr. Q.  The landscapes and scenery are sensational. The experience of life in Australia seems authentic and different from anything American. Sigourney Weaver’s performance is five-star.  It tells the story of the enduring impact of domestic abuse on women and the fear of violence during seemingly happy moments.

Mrs. Q says: This series is definitely NOT for Children.

The theme of abuse stands on its own-message- Life is about surviving men.

It seemed to Mr. Q that the message was: men are either spineless or evil, one or the other.

Q-tips say: YES, Watch it. We enjoyed it.

Cameras are everywhere at once as Swift sings, stomps, and smiles through a nearly three-hour cross-section of her discography. They surround her as she and her dancers cover the mammoth square footage of her SoFi Stadium stage, which lights up imaginatively to correspond with each time frame.

Mrs. Q says: I did not enter the concert film a Swiftie, but I can say with confidence that I really enjoyed this film. Never knew that she played guitar & piano & perform so well. Well done Swift.

PS: Parents – was rated PG-13, due to “some strong language and suggestive materials.”

The incredible tale and fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. Hungry for the worldliness she is lacking, Bella runs off with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a slick and debauched lawyer, on a whirlwind adventure across the continents. Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation.

Stone was honored for her tour-de-force performance as Bella Baxter, a childlike woman in Victorian London who comes to life through a brain transplant and begins a journey of self-discovery.

Q-tips say: We would NOT recommend this movie for all. Poor Things is a weird, – just be prepared for adult themes (many many sex scenes & nudity) & other themes that may unsettle, or offend some viewers.

Mrs. Q says: FYI – Definitely not for children. Some scenes were really uncomfortable to watch. Not only because of the nudity & many many sex scenes but because what was happening to the main character.  The film contains many graphic sex scenes that do very little to forward the plot.

 “Wonka” tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today. On MAX.

Q-tips say: YES, watch it. We really enjoyed this movie.

Kids. Families. Adults. There’s really something there for everyone and again, it just makes you feel good. Willy Wonka – Timothée Chalamet, was an excellent choice for this role.

Sylvia (Jessica Chastain) is a social worker who leads a simple and structured life: her daughter, her job, her AA meetings. This is blown open when Saul (Peter Sarsgaard) follows her home from their high school reunion. Their surprise encounter will profoundly impact both of them as they open the door to the past.

Q-tips say: A dementia drama, is the kind of film that, initially, is so familiar and heavy-handed.

“Memory” doesn’t necessarily have direct answers to all the questions. But it does well enough to know that even if a person is damaged, whether emotionally or psychologically, that shouldn’t negate them from receiving the kind of support that doesn’t belittle them but treats them with a dignity that goes beyond their trauma.

A psychiatrist takes in a young patient who escaped from a cult, putting her family and life in danger. A series.

Q-tips say: Was ok & a little disappointing. Did not flow as other movie this type. FYI- not a movie some might NOT enjoy – it is about a cult.

Mrs. Q says: I totally get the Psychology behind it all. Unresolved trauma lives in the present and clearly, the mum hadn’t worked through it to notice the parallels and prevent crossing her boundaries. Was surprised it’s ok for a Dr to take a patient home and become their foster parent. So strange.  Suzanne really needs that therapy. Maybe Mae could’ve stayed if the adults put down some boundaries and helped the kids do the same. I get that Suzanne felt the need to take care of Mae and be in her corner, but at the expense of her own family? The dad is protecting the girls and Suzanne doesn’t get it.

On Netflix – Using archival footage and his own words, this docudrama chronicles what happened after the scientist fled Nazi Germany and dives into the mind of this tortured genius.

Q-tips say: Yes, we did enjoy it. Especially enjoyed that we watched Oppenheimer & then Einstein & the Bomb. Interesting movie indeed.

The documentary film focuses on the suffering and pain of a man who, although innocent, feels the weight of the consequences of his ideas on his shoulders. The most convincing moment of a project that for long stretches obtains the opposite result to that achieved by Oppenheimer that is, making the analysis of a fundamental historical phase for the world we live in today.
