We had our regular drinks: Old Fashion & Perfect Manhattan with Happy Hour Bourbon (Bulliet) & with dirty ice on the side.
Both had: PRIME RIB SLIDERS – Jack cheese, with horseradish on the side. Plus – We shared an order of TRUFFLE SKINNY FRIES – Parmesan cheese. Both had Lobster Bisque Soup & a glass of wine.
Great drinks, food & service. Awesome ambiance. Reasonably priced.

Mrs. Q says: We had reservations, but the day before, we received an email saying the our reservation has been cancelled.
Q-tips say: Customize your perfect pasta bowl and enjoy Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread, a selection of sauces, proteins, & vegetables.
Q – Tips had: We began our dinner with our usual libations – An Old Fashion – up & dirty ice on the side & a Cosmo. The other half had his Perfect Manhattan.
PASTA NIGHT – Caesar salad only & some kind of a garlic bread & then choose your pasta, pasta sauce with your toppings of choice (shrimp/peas, black olives/sausage,) etc. Pasta Night Buffet dinner you get to choose your pasta, sauce, meats, shrimp etc. & how much of each.

NO Golf carts allowed. Yes, dogs are ok but must be on a leash at a times.

Q-tips say: WOW! Not the same Riverhouse Rest. we remember. Recently changed the main menu 4 times according to the waitress. NO MORE BAR BITES in the dining area only at the bar seating. AND NO MORE side of House made Chips/Ranch for dipping.
Mrs. Q /Mr. Q had: Shared the Grouper Tacos – Mr. Q asked if his Grouper fish be Blackened – No they only make the two tacos the same- grouper, pico-de-gallo, cilantro lime slaw, sour cream on the side and served with fries. The Q-tips shared a Caesar Salad.
Happy Hour still exists: Glass of wine is $7.00 a bottle of wine is $9.00 and you can take the bottle of wine home if you don’t finish it there.

Marty Supreme
Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness.
Q-tips say: Just ok.
The acting is good and the directing has flair and energy. The problem is the film is plotless and just rambles on and on. “Marty Supreme” is a story of a guy burdened by how great he thinks he’s supposed to be.

Conservatory Park
3/27/26 – 8027 Conservatory Dr, Sarasota, FL 34243
The park has a paved walking trail that has exercise machines along the trail, a dock area overlooking a lake, nice bathroom facilities, a playground and picnic tables under a covered pavilion. Nice quiet park with friendly people.
Yes, we do feed the fish & turtles with small pieces of saltine crackers.
The park is planned out very well both for various exercise stations as well as interest for kids. Lots of birds and trees, lovely walk in nature & enjoy the turtles/fish in the lake.
Had a nice walk in Conservatory Park is a 55 acre site with a focus on outdoor and nature-based recreation. Manatee County purchased the property in August 2004 with assistance from the Florida Communities Trust under the Florida Forever program.

Menu: Salad bar, Buffet with Queen cut Prime Rib, Hunters Pork w/ mushroom sauce & Chef’s Potato and Vegetable, Birthday cupcake and beverage. Dinner is complimentary for the members celebrating their birthday.
Not your birthday? $29.00 plus tax and gratuity.
**Members receive one complimentary birthday buffet per calendar year.
. Q-tips say: Food was ok. Had a wonderful evening with the friends/neighbors from the hood.

Peridia Golf & CC – St. Patrick’s Day Buffet
3/17/26- Corned Beef & Cabbage, Bangers & Mash, Shepherd’s Pie. & Bread pudding. Also, Green Beer.
Q-tips say: Food/drinks/service was just ok. The music was not enjoyable, very loud, & we have never had Bread pudding, & probably will not have it again.
Mrs. Q says: Mingling with the neighbors/friends was fun. The best part of this St. Patrick’s Day Buffet: She did not have to cook or clean up.

Powerful young woman

Mrs. Q says: Promising Young Woman is a complex, thought-provoking film that critiques rape culture, gender roles, and the societal failure to hold perpetrators accountable. “Promising Young Woman” is as confident as its protagonist, a film that’s willing to be a little messy and inconsistent in a way that reflects Cassie’s existence. She works in a coffee shop and has supportive parents, but every day is filled with the reminder of what she’s lost. She sits at night looking at photos of her best friend when they were young.
This film is an in depth look at what happens when victims of sexual assault or rape don’t get taken seriously. This is a very hard movie to watch for some, but it might be a new standard that we set on how movies about these topics are handled.
